Saudi Logistics Platform Salasa Closes $30 Million Series B Funding Round

Salasa, a Saudi platform that provides e-commerce implementation services, has announced the completion of a $30 million Series B funding round.

With this new investment, the total funding raised by Salasa now stands at $37.2 million.

Artal Capital, a well-known investment firm, led the $30 million funding round.

Other participants included the SVC Fund, Aramco’s Waed Ventures Fund, 500 Global, Al Sulaiman Group, and several other strategic investors.

Salasa stated that the new funding will be used to expand its implementation centers across Saudi Arabia and launch a fast delivery service in major cities.

The company also plans to grow its dark store network, improve its customs warehouse operations, and upgrade its tech systems with the help of artificial intelligence.

She also announced the introduction of special customs zone services aimed at making it easier for international companies to enter the Saudi market.

These services allow foreign businesses to operate without having to set up a local company in Saudi Arabia.

Silasa was founded in 2017 by Abdulmajeed Alyemni and Hassan Al-Hazmi.

The company offers complete logistics solutions, including warehousing, shipping, inventory management, customs warehouses, last-mile delivery, and cross-border logistics.
