Nanda Prins: Founder at Canterly
Prins, Founder and CEO of Canterly, grew up on a farm in the Netherlands with a deep connection to horses. After the age of 18, she gained experience in search and technology, living and working in the UK and Singapore. Additionally, she spent 7 years in various roles at a Singaporean multinational technology company, Grab. Alongside her professional journey, Prins earned an MBA, M.Sc. and holds certifications like CSSBB, PMP, and CCMP, among others.
Sylvain Bougerel: Co-founder at Canterly
Co-founder and CTO at Canterly. Over the past 20 years in software engineering, Bougerel has spent 13 years leading teams of up to 30 engineers, managing and guiding the development of 1M+MAU products and S$10M+ projects. He has been dedicated to hiring and growing teams that prioritise quality, intellectual discipline, and accountability. He is a strong supporter of automation and prefers using tools rather than relying on complex processes. He focusses on trunk-based development, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and infrastructure as code (IaC.)
Now, they are on a mission to transform the US$300 billion equestrian industry, making a positive difference.
Inspiration Behind Canterly:
As a farm girl, Prins grew up surrounded by horses and developed a deep passion for equestrianism, with a strong dedication and understanding of the industry. Along the way, she noticed the increasing inefficiencies and rising costs in the sector. Her passion for equestrianism fueled a desire to bridge this gap and address the challenges.
Later, she discussed this issue with Bougerel, and together they realised the need to create an innovative and more effective solution to tackle the problem.
