SPEC Toolbox (formerly CLT Toolbox) is a construction technology company that has raised $3 million in a Pre-Series A funding round.
The funding round was led by Black Nova and Investible. The money will be used to speed up the global use of the SPEC Toolbox platform, which helps connect product suppliers and designers by removing technical barriers.
The new funding will help SPEC Toolbox speed up its product development and encourage more people around the world to use modern construction methods. The platform helps connect product suppliers and designers, making it easier to use advanced, sustainable building materials.
The company was originally called CLT Toolbox but recently changed its name to SPEC Toolbox. They realized that design delays were not just a problem for mass timber, but for many new building materials.
SPEC Toolbox helps remove the technical challenges that often stop designers from choosing modern materials. This makes it easier for product suppliers to get their products specified and used in projects.

Since its seed round, SPEC Toolbox has expanded into Europe, the UK, and North America. The platform now has over 6,000 users and more than 35 product suppliers. This shows that it is becoming an important tool for the construction industry globally.
