SPHERE AX and Blaize Partner to Advance Physical AI and AI Semiconductor Solutions

SPHERE AX, a company focused on Vision AI and Edge AI Computing, has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Blaize Holdings, a global AI semiconductor company based in California, USA.

Under the agreement, the two companies will work together to develop and commercialize products powered by AI semiconductor technology.

The partnership aims to help both companies strengthen their position in the growing global Physical AI market, which focuses on bringing AI capabilities into real-world devices, machines, and environments.

The signing ceremony took place before the Policy Roundtable for Korea-U.S. Physical AI Cooperation and the Creation of an AI Industry Innovation Ecosystem at South Korea’s National Assembly. The event came as discussions continue on strengthening the country's AI semiconductor industry and expanding technology cooperation between Korea and the United States.

Through this partnership, SPHERE AX and Blaize Holdings plan to work together on a wide range of activities. These include joint research and development in Edge AI Computing, commercialization of AI semiconductor-based solutions, business development in key industries, and providing solutions to customers in both domestic and international markets.

A key goal of the collaboration is to create AI products in Korea by combining advanced semiconductor technology from overseas with local product development and manufacturing capabilities. This approach is expected to help build AI products that can be supplied to global markets.

The two companies plan to develop next-generation Physical AI solutions by combining Blaize’s AI semiconductor technology with SPHERE AX’s expertise in Vision AI and software development. These solutions could be used in smart cities, smart factories, industrial safety systems, security applications, robotics, and mobility services, further strengthening AI cooperation between Korea and the United States.

The partnership also aims to establish an AI semiconductor-based product development and manufacturing ecosystem in Korea. By aligning with government initiatives to support the AI semiconductor industry and leveraging Korea’s advanced manufacturing capabilities, the companies hope to strengthen the country's AI competitiveness and expand its role in the global AI supply chain. Blaize has also expressed confidence in SPHERE AX’s technology and growth potential and both companies plan to build a long-term partnership.

Yunha Park, CEO of SPHERE AX, stated, "This cooperation will be more than a simple technology alliance. It will be the first step toward developing and producing actual commercial AI products in Korea based on globally competitive AI semiconductor technology." Yunha added, "We will continue to expand various global businesses so that Korea can grow into a key production hub in the global Edge AI market."

Dinakar Munagala, CEO of Blaize, stated, "Korea is a strategically important market, combining global technology leadership with the speed to bring new AI solutions to market." Munagala added, "Through our partnership with SPHERE AX, we'll create new growth opportunities and expand the reach of our platform from Asia into the global market."

SPHERE AX specializes in Vision AI and Edge AI Computing. Using its own AI-powered video analysis technology, the company develops solutions for industries such as automotive, robotics, smart factories, and industrial safety. These solutions help businesses improve automation, efficiency, monitoring, and workplace safety through AI.
