Squadio Raises $3 Million to Expand AI-Powered Remote Tech Hiring Globally from Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia-based tech talent platform Squadio has secured US$3 million (SAR 11 million) in a Pre-Series A funding round. The investment aims to help the company grow its AI-powered remote hiring services and expand across the Middle East, North Africa (MENA) and other regions.

The funding round saw participation from several major investors, including Wa’ed Ventures, 500 Sanabil MENA, Nour Nouf Ventures, SEEDRA Ventures, and the National Technology Development Program (NTDP).

Founded in 2019 by Khaled Senawy, Squadio helps companies create strong, remote-first technology teams. It connects businesses with carefully selected and verified global tech talent to ensure high performance and reliability.

Today, the platform has a network of over 55,000 tech professionals from more than 80 countries. Squadio has already partnered with 450+ companies across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, and the United States, showcasing its growing global presence.

Squadio was created with the goal of making top software development talent accessible to everyone. It focuses on on-demand hiring for engineers, designers, and product managers, helping startups and large companies quickly build the tech teams they need and expand easily as they grow.

Squadio works with several well-known Saudi companies such as STC, Elm, Thiqah, Monsha’at, and Nupco. These organizations use Squadio’s services to strengthen their digital capabilities and support their technology-driven growth.

“Squadio is on a mission to bridge the global tech talent gap from Saudi Arabia,” said Khaled Senawy, Founder and CEO. “This funding round validates our model and fuels our ability to scale faster while staying true to our vision—helping companies build world-class digital products, regardless of geography.”

With the new funding, Squadio plans to improve its AI-based talent-matching system, upgrade its internal operations, and grow across the Middle East, Africa, and Silicon Valley.

The company is based in Riyadh and also has offices in Dubai, Alexandria, and Silicon Valley, helping it connect tech talent and companies across different regions.

As remote work and AI-based hiring change how people work around the world, Squadio believes that location will no longer limit innovation — and that Saudi tech companies like itself will play a big role in shaping this new future.
