SUMMARY

  • Superstat has raised AU$3.5 million (US$2.3 million) in pre-seed funding.
  • The round was led by Blackbird, with support from leading Australian startup founders.
  • The funding will support team growth, product development, and global expansion.

Along with the new funding, Superstat has announced plans to move its operations to the United States. The company aims to expand its business and grow its AI technology in the global sports market.

The funding round was led by Blackbird, with additional support from Blinq founder Jarrod Webb and Mindset Health founders Alex and Chris Naoumidis.

Cordelia King said the company is now hiring a founding computer vision engineer and GTM partnerships expert marketing as it scales in the US.

“We’ve gone from an idea to more than 5,000 active users shipping daily improvements based on real coach feedback, and that pace is only accelerating,” she said.

“We’re growing the team to match it, as we make the move to Austin, Texas – the heartland of sport in the US, with a tech scene to match and, thanks to the University of Texas, a deep pool of technical talent right on our doorstep.”

Founded in 2025 by Cordelia King, Sam Hung and Kai Bloomfield, Superstat is a sports technology startup that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help sports teams find talented players and analyze their performance. Its platform makes player scouting faster, more accurate, and based on data.

The company helps sports clubs, coaches, and organizations make better decisions by providing detailed insights into player performance. This helps teams identify and develop talent more effectively.

Superstat is also expanding into international markets. Its goal is to bring its AI-powered sports technology to more teams and organizations around the world.
