Takeda Invested $32 Million in five new global Corporate Social Responsibility

Takeda has committed JPY 4.6 billion (roughly US$32 million) to five new global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnerships. This is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the resilience of healthcare systems in low- and middle-income nations worldwide.

Through this commitment, Takeda is demonstrating its commitment to addressing systemic disparities and empowering local leadership in order to improve access to and the delivery of equitable and sustainable healthcare. It also aims to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, empower the workforce, and increase local knowledge and capacity.

Takeda’s influence is anticipated to reach 27 million people in 93 countries by 2030. Since the program’s launch in 2016, Takeda has contributed more than JPY 28.8 billion (roughly US$ 199.1 million) through 34 major partnerships. In a poll conducted by all Takeda employees, over 22,000 workers from 80 different countries and regions chose the five new partners, underscoring Takeda’s dedication to an inclusive and cooperative approach to its global corporate giving program.

Their 13.4 million people had better access to, coverage of, and quality of care (such as screening, referrals, and follow-ups); Their 28,000 people received necessary medical supplies; Their 4.1 million community members received targeted health education on topics like nutrition, water, sanitation, hygiene, and sexual and reproductive health; and over 2,700 health facilities were built or renovated.
