Terra Security Secures $30M Series A to Advance AI-Powered Penetration Testing

Terra Security, a company that provides AI-powered platforms for testing cybersecurity systems, has raised $30 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Felicis, with support from Dell Technologies Capital, SVCI, and existing investors SYN Ventures, Lama Partners (FXP) and Underscore VC.

The Series A funding comes just four months after Terra Security’s Seed round, which included well-known investors like Gerhard Eschelbeck (former Google CISO), Ofer Ben-Noon and Ohad Bobrov (founders of Talon Security), Yossi Matias (Google VP of Research), and Charles Tango (Sysco CISO).

With this new investment, Terra Security has now raised a total of $38 million since it was founded.

Founded in 2024 by CEO Shahar Peled and CTO Gal Malachi, Terra Security has a team of 25 people working in Israel and the United States and already serves Fortune 100 clients.

The new funding will be used to expand research and development in Israel, grow U.S. sales operations, improve its AI tools, and reach more customers.

“Traditional penetration testing hasn’t evolved in decades, leaving organizations vulnerable to sophisticated attacks that manual testing or automated solutions simply can’t simulate at scale,” said Gal Malachi, Co-founder and CTO of Terra Security. “This investment will enable us to expand the offensive security use cases we support, strengthen our R&D capabilities, grow our team, and scale our go-to-market efforts as we transform how enterprises approach offensive security testing. We’re just scratching the surface of what’s possible when you apply purpose-built AI to security testing.”

Terra Security has built a platform for continuous penetration testing that uses multiple AI agents. Each agent adapts to a company’s environment and needs, working like an ethical hacker.

The AI agents update their plans in real time as risks change and automatically run tests when new vulnerabilities are found. All testing is done under human supervision to ensure accuracy, reliability, and safety.

Penetration testing is important for finding security weaknesses before hackers can exploit them, but many organizations find it hard to do these tests regularly. Traditional methods are mostly manual, slow, and expensive, which makes them hard to use widely.

Terra’s AI agents can run thousands of advanced tests much faster and more accurately. They adapt each test to the customer’s business and risk profile, providing better coverage and protection.
