Note for Public Holidays in Thailand in 2025:

  • Government agencies observe all public holidays
  • Holidays include national, religious, and other celebrations.
  • Employees are paid for public holidays and non-working days, in addition to their annual leave.
  • If a holiday falls on a weekend, the following workday is observed as a compensatory holiday.
  • Employers must announce traditional holidays in advance. If a holiday falls on a weekly holiday, employees take the following workday off.
  • Some holidays, like Chinese New Year, are regional and not national holidays.
  • Holidays for Eidal-Fitr Day (Ramadan Day) and Eidal-Adha Day (Raya Hajji Day) will be announced by the Sheikhul Islam Office.
