UAE-based zypl.ai raises $5.5 million round led by Carbide Ventures

zypl.ai, an AI company that uses synthetic data to help financial institutions make better decisions, has raised US$5.5 million at a valuation of $80 million.

The funding came from Silicon Valley-based Carbide Ventures and well-known business leaders, including Shukhrat Ibragimov. This shows strong confidence in the company’s AI platform and its fast global growth.

The new funds will help zypl.ai expand in key markets and bring advanced synthetic data solutions to banks, powered by its own zGAN technology.

“Carbide Ventures first invested in zypl a year ago and is thoroughly impressed with the team, product and growth over the past twelve months. When given the opportunity to invest more, we jumped on it immediately and are working diligently with the team to expand to new geographic markets and additional revenue streams,” said Dan Weirich, Carbide Ventures general partner.

Shukhrat Ibragimov is the CEO of Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), a major global natural resources company. He leads the company’s overall strategy and works on modernising its operations. ERG is one of the world’s biggest producers of ferrochrome and cobalt, and supplies important minerals used in batteries, renewable energy, and advanced manufacturing.

Apart from ERG, he is also the Chairman of the Board at Eurasian Bank, one of Kazakhstan’s largest private banks, and Eurasia Insurance Company, a leading insurance company in the country.

Funded in 2021 by Azizjon Azimi, zypl.ai creates synthetic data solutions for banks and other financial institutions. Their own zGAN technology helps AI make better decisions, even when market conditions are unpredictable.
