Former Unacademy COO Vivek Sinha announced the launch of Beyond Odds Technologies, a new business that would get a $11 million startup investment consisting of both loan and equity.
The financing round was headed by Lightspeed India and Matrix Partners India. According to ET, the other investors include Livspace founder Ramakant Sharma, InnoVen Capital, Alteria Capital, Oyo founder Ritesh Agarwal, Unacademy founder Gaurav Munjal, Upgrad founder Mayank Kumar, and SoftBank partner Sumer Juneja.

According to Sinha, who talked with ET, the business intends to launch Emversity, an educational brand with a Bengaluru center, on April 20. There will be six additional launches in Hyderabad, Delhi, Nagpur, Kochi, and Ranchi by June.
During the current academic year, Emversity will offer undergraduate programs in hospital administration, anesthesia and operating room technology, and emergency and trauma care technology.
