Upriver Raises $10 Mn in Round led by Valley Capital Partners

Israeli data infrastructure startup Upriver has raised US$10 million in a new funding round to support its growth and development.

The round was led by Valley Capital Partners, which has previously invested in companies such as Decart and Factify. Existing investor Hetz Ventures also took part in the round after earlier investing around $4 million in the company.

The funding round also attracted several well-known angel investors, including Lew Cirne, founder of New Relic; Yotam Segev and Tamar Bar-Ilan, founders of Cyera; and Abe Gong, founder of Great Expectations. Their participation adds strong industry experience and support to Upriver's growth journey.

“We’re seeing enterprises invest heavily in AI, but struggle to see real impact because their data simply isn’t ready,” said Ido Bronstein, CEO and co-founder of Upriver. “We built Upriver to take that burden off data teams entirely. Instead of constantly sinking in repetitive technical work, data teams can lift their heads above water and focus on what moves the needle for the business, while handling the grunt work. Our goal is to make data infrastructure invisible, so enterprises can extract their organizational knowledge from the messy data and finally get from AI what was originally promised - a true force multiplier.”

Founded in 2024 by Ido Bronstein and Omri Lifshitz, Upriver is an Israeli data infrastructure startup that helps companies manage and optimize the data used by AI applications and modern software systems.

The company focuses on improving how data is processed, stored, and delivered so that businesses can run AI models and data-intensive applications more efficiently. Its platform helps organizations ensure that the right data reaches the right systems quickly and reliably, improving performance and reducing infrastructure complexity.

By building tools for data management and AI-ready infrastructure, Upriver aims to make it easier for companies to scale their applications, improve reliability, and get more value from their data.
