Uweb (University of Web3), a top digital asset education institute, has successfully raised $3 million in an angel funding round.
Investment firm Avenir Group led the funding. Other investors included Ronin & Quinn Capital, Singchain Capital, First Merit, and several experienced angel investors from the Web3 space.
Uweb will use the funding to improve its courses and products, grow into new markets faster, and use AI to support its global plans. A big part of this includes creating course content in different languages to reach users around the world.
This plan supports Uweb’s mission to become the world’s top Web3 university and help one billion people learn about and use digital assets.
Uweb has also partnered with the Hong Kong Institute of Digital Asset Analysts (HKCDAA). This partnership supports Hong Kong’s new Digital Assets 2.0 policy.
Together, they plan to create training programs and set talent standards for Web3 jobs in Hong Kong. Their goal is to train and certify over 100,000 fintech professionals including Chartered Digital Assets Analysts (CDAAs), by 2030.
Uweb was founded in 2023 and is based in Hong Kong SAR. It is a professional education platform that offers high-quality courses on digital assets, mainly for wealthy individuals and institutional investors.
Uweb’s long-term goal is to become the main entry point for traditional finance professionals who want to move into the Web3 world.
