
VinFast, a Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) maker, announced on Tuesday the official launch of the VF 6, a mid-size EV, in Indonesia.
The company said in a statement that its fast-growing network of showrooms, service centers, and V-GREEN charging stations is increasing its presence in Indonesia. This helps provide customers with more product choices and smooth ownership experiences while supporting the green mobility movement in the country.
The VinFast VF 6 will be sold in Indonesia in Eco and Plus. In Jakarta, the Eco version will cost 385 million IDR (about $23,373), and the Plus version will cost 439.6 million IDR.
The VF 6 is a B-segment electric SUV, a very popular car type in Indonesia. The first VF 6 cars are expected to be delivered in June 2025.
According to the statement, the VF 6 is designed to be an excellent option for entrepreneurs and young families in Indonesia.

“The VF 6 is an important addition to VinFast’s electric vehicle lineup in Indonesia. By steadily growing our all-electric range, we reinforce our commitment to making electric vehicles accessible to all.”

VinFast said that in just one year since entering Indonesia, it has made significant progress by working with top dealerships, service partners, and major banks. It has launched four electric models – VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, and VF e34 – and offers attractive sales deals while growing its sales and service network.
The VinFast EV factory in Subang is set to begin production in 2025.
At the same time, the company is creating a fully green transport system by partnering with electric taxi company GSM and global charging network developer V-GREEN.
VinFast also plans to build 30,000 charging ports in Indonesia by the end of 2025. This will help make switching to electric vehicles easier and stress-free for customers while supporting the country’s move toward greener transportation.
VinFast, a part of Vingroup JSC, one of Vietnam’s biggest companies, is a company that makes only electric vehicles (EVs).
VinFast’s current product lineup includes a variety of electric SUVs, e-scooters, and e-buses.
The company is entering its next growth phase by quickly expanding its distribution and dealership network worldwide. It is also increasing its manufacturing capacity, focusing on important markets in North America, Europe, and Asia.
