VinFast Reports 296% Jump in Worldwide Q1 2025 Deliveries

Vietnamese electric car company VinFast Auto Ltd announced that it delivered 36,330 electric vehicles (EVs) worldwide in the first quarter of 2025, marking a 296% increase compared to the same period last year.

Deliveries of the VF 5, a small SUV, rose by 153%, while the VF 6, a slightly larger SUV, jumped 453% year-over-year.

The VF 3 and VF 5 models made up 67% of total deliveries, showing strong demand for VinFast’s compact city-friendly vehicles.

The company also delivered 44,904 electric scooters and bikes in the quarter, a 473% increase from last year.

Madam Thuy Le, Chairwoman of VinFast, said the company built a strong foundation in 2024 and is ready for more growth in 2025. She added that VinFast’s wide range of EVs allows it to grow steadily, respond to market changes, and handle global economic shifts.

She noted that the VF 3 and VF 5 were top performers in early 2025, and the VF 6 is also showing strong potential. VinFast aims to lead the global shift to green transportation with smart, innovative EVs while continuing to grow its market share in Vietnam and expand internationally.

Vietnam remains a key market for VinFast. The company is promoting its Green vehicle lineup with attractive offers, supported by its partnership with GSM and a strong nationwide sales network.

VinFast is expanding into key Asian markets with strong growth potential. It has officially entered India and launched three EV models in Indonesia, as well as five in the Philippines. At the same time, the company is growing its network of dealerships and service centres in these countries.

To support the growing demand for electric vehicles, VinFast is also accelerating the development of its global manufacturing facilities. New plants in Indonesia, India, and Ha Tinh, Vietnam, are expected to begin operations soon as part of the company’s international growth strategy.
