Yahoo appoints Josh Line as its New Chief Marketing Officer

Yahoo announced on Tuesday that Josh Line has been appointed as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). He will lead the company’s global marketing strategies, brand positioning, user acquisition, and customer engagement. Line will report directly to Yahoo CEO Jim Lanzone.

Line, an experienced marketer was previously the Chief Brand Officer at Paramount Global. He played a key role in launching Paramount+ and growing its streaming business. He also helped transform marketing across brands like CBS, MTV, Paramount Pictures, and Pluto TV.

Jim Lanzone, Chief Executive Officer of Yahoo said, “With a strong track record of scaling both emerging and iconic brands, combined with his ability to build and lead high-performance teams, Line is the ideal leader to propel the Yahoo brand forward during this critical moment in our journey, I am excited to welcome Josh to Yahoo, where his expertise in driving brand strategy and fostering collaboration across every facet of marketing leadership will be crucial,”.

Before becoming Paramount’s Chief Brand Officer, Line led marketing and creative teams at Comedy Central, Paramount Network, and TV Land.

He developed his focus on creativity and customer-centered innovation while working at top agencies like Scratch, Droga5, and Anomaly, handling big brands like GM, BMW, Coca-Cola, Nestlé, and Disney.
