Zype Raises INR 90 Crore in Funding Led by Unleash Capital Partners to Fuel Growth

Zype, a digital lending startup, has raised INR 90 crore in a new funding round led by Japanese venture capital firm Unleash Capital Partners.

Existing investor Xponentia Capital also took part in the round.

This comes after Zype’s first big funding of INR 146 crore last year, bringing its total funding to INR 236 crore since it started in 2022.

The company said Unitus Capital was the only advisor for this deal.

Zype is a fintech platform started in 2022 by Yogi Sadana. It offers instant personal loans of up to ₹2 lakh with flexible repayment options. The app also helps users track their spending with a credit analyzer and gives cashback rewards for bill payments.

The company got its NBFC licence in 2023 and now gives out loans from its funds. Right now, it manages assets worth INR 400 crore and has given out INR 1,300 crore in loans since it launched.

Zype competes with other lending platforms like Fibe and Kreditbee. It mainly offers unsecured personal loans to young salaried people, who usually borrow for things like weddings, home repairs, or medical emergencies.

Zype is currently earning INR 150 crore a year (ARR) and is growing steadily every month. Founder Yogi Sadana said the company didn’t make a net profit in FY25 because it only broke even in the last quarter, but he expects it to turn profitable in FY26.
