360 ONE Asset Launches New Venture Capital Strategy for Early-Stage Startups

This funding plan is part of 360 ONE Asset’s larger investment approach, which supports businesses at every stage. It is backed by their ₹25,000 crore ($3 billion) private equity platform.

On Thursday, 360 ONE Asset, part of 360 ONE WAM, launched a new plan to support startups at an early stage, starting from their first significant round of funding.

According to the company, this new plan will focus on fast-growing areas like consumer technology, fintech, generative AI, space tech, defense, and precision manufacturing. Along with funding, 360 ONE Asset will also offer expert advice, help with business management, and access to more funding as startups grow.

This strategy is part of the company’s larger plan to support businesses at every growth stage. It is backed by its ₹25,000 crore ($3 billion) private equity platform.

“As India approaches its next wave of startup-led economic transformation, 360 ONE Asset’s early-stage strategy aims to be at the forefront – identifying, backing, and shaping the companies that will define the next generation of unicorns,” said Sameer Nath, CIO and Head, Private Equity and Venture Capital, 360 ONE Asset.

He added, “Our strategy is backed by a highly experienced team and distinguished by proprietary deal flow through a network of over 7,000 founders and domain experts.”

The strategy is being led by Gaurav Kushwaha from Bluestone, Nigel Vaz from Publicis Sapient, Vaibhav Domkundwar from Better Capital and Mobileum, and Ashwin Mittal from C5i.

The firm did not reveal the names of the startups but shared that its early investments include a gaming company with over 10 million downloads and an Indian hot sauce brand aiming to grow in global markets.

Other startups in the pipeline include a SaaS platform that helps manage mutual funds and a space tech company developing advanced radar technology made in India.

“We follow a disciplined investment process with rigorous diligence, clear value creation plans, and defined exit strategies. We also offer active co-investment opportunities for strategic partners – all while staying focused on long-term macro trends like domestic consumption, financial infrastructure, healthcare, AI-led services, and deep tech innovation,” said Abhishek Nag, Senior Fund Manager and Strategy Head of 360 ONE Asset.

The firm manages about $10 billion, spread across public and private investments. This includes over $3 billion in venture capital and private equity. It offers different types of investment products like AIFs, PMS, and mutual funds across various asset types.
