On Tuesday, Shin Kong Vietnam, an insurance company from Taiwan, and PVI Insurance a company from Vietnam, held an official opening ceremony. This event marked the start of their partnership and the launch of a new platform for compulsory third-party liability (CTPL) insurance.

The duo said in a statement that this partnership brings together Shin Kong Vietnam’s international insurance expertise with PVI’s strong local presence and market leadership. 

At the center of this partnership is IXT’s smart insurance technology platform. It helps create new insurance products quickly and easily, while following local rules and giving customers a better online experience.

For PVI, this partnership brings access to international experience and modern technology, helping the company grow its digital services and reach more customers in different ways.

For Shin Kong Vietnam, working with PVI offers valuable knowledge about the local market, support for using technology together, and help with understanding and following local regulations.

“AIFT’s IXT core insurance platform has allowed us to digitize rapidly, and partnering with PVI ensures we deliver localized, customer-centric solutions,” said Mark Wei, Chairman of Shin Kong Life.

Duong Thanh Francois, the chairman of PVI Insurance, said a this partnership represents a powerful combination of technology and tradition.

According to the announcement, AIFT and Shin Kong Vietnam have teamed up with Chunghwa Telecom Vietnam Co., Ltd. to provide data center and cloud services.

Thanks to Chunghwa Telecom’s 17+ years of experience in Vietnam, the partnership offers cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and expert advice for businesses in finance, retail, and services.

This three-way partnership shows how Taiwan and Vietnam can work together in digital insurance innovation.

The opening ceremony was more than just a contract signing or product launch — it marked the beginning of a new chapter in Vietnam’s insurance industry, bringing together insurers, agents, and tech companies to drive innovation.
