Zeus Hygia, a company that makes health-focused ingredients based on research, has raised $2.5 million in Series A funding. The investment came from NABVENTURES, the venture capital branch of NABARD.
The company will use the money to grow its business in other countries and improve its research and development (R&D).
It also plans to create new health products for pain relief, weight control, women’s health, and healthy aging.
Zeus Hygia was founded in 2018 and creates specialized herbal extracts that have been proven to work through clinical studies.
The company sells these natural ingredients to other businesses in the health and wellness field in more than 15 countries.
Its products include eight unique, branded ingredients, such as BioSOLVE Curcumin, Grantria, and Stadice. They are also working on creating more products.
The startup from Hyderabad owns nine patents and has published over 20 scientific studies. It uses five special technologies to create natural, safe, and effective products.
The company is expanding in North America, with a U.S. office, and is also growing in Southeast Asia and the Middle East through partnerships and joint projects.
Zeus Hygia expects that 70% of its sales will come from international markets in the next three years.
