TabSense, a Saudi AI startup, has raised USD$5 million in funding led by Jasoor Ventures. The money will be used to launch the first AI-powered Point of Sale (PoS) system for restaurants and cafés with multiple branches or franchises.
Founded in 2024 by Mohammed Jaber, TabSense is an AI-powered Point of Sale (PoS) platform designed for restaurants and cafés. The platform focuses on helping food businesses operate more efficiently using advanced technology.
TabSense introduces an AI Agentic PoS system, where intelligent AI agents act like digital employees. These agents assist restaurants and cafés in managing operations, improving efficiency, and scaling their business without losing control or compromising quality.
With this new funding, TabSense plans to speed up product development and increase sales in the region. It also aims to expand its engineering and AI teams to improve the capabilities of its AI-powered system.
Unlike regular PoS systems that only track sales, TabSense uses smart AI agents to simplify restaurant operations. The platform can optimize menus, automate management tasks, and provide real-time insights to help businesses run smoothly.
TabSense turns the PoS from a transaction tool into a growth engine for restaurants and cafés. It helps owners and managers run leaner and more efficient operations while reducing back-office costs significantly.
“We built TabSense to give restaurant operators more than just a PoS – we built an intelligent teammate. Our AI agents handle the complex, time-consuming aspects of management – from menu optimization and product recommendations to understanding customer behavior – allowing owners to focus on growth and quality,” said Mohammed Jaber, Co-founder of TabSense.
