PropertyGuru Group, a leading property technology company in Southeast Asia, has appointed Vic Sithasanan as the new managing director for Malaysia.
In this role, Vic will be responsible for growing the company’s Malaysian marketplace business, which includes both PropertyGuru and iProperty.
He will focus on improving customer value, enhancing the user experience, and strengthening the company’s position in the market.
Vic will also join the company’s executive leadership team and will report directly to the group CEO, Lewis Ng.
His appointment is an important part of PropertyGuru’s plan to strengthen leadership at the country level. The company is shifting from having country managers to managing directors to improve decision-making and impact in each market.
Vic has over 20 years of leadership experience and a strong background in growing online marketplaces, driving digital innovation, and improving customer experience.
He previously worked at Seek, where he was the managing director for Singapore and earlier for Malaysia. During his time there, he led major digital and commercial changes and helped the business grow significantly in both markets.
Before joining Seek, Vic co-founded Hyperlab, an AI company that helped big brands automate customer conversations. After the company was acquired in 2018, he became the chief growth officer and led its expansion into the U.S., Japan, and other major markets.
PropertyGuru also announced that Kenneth Soh, who is currently the country manager for Malaysia, will leave the company at the end of December 2025.
During Soh’s time as leader, PropertyGuru Malaysia reached several important milestones, including launching the Verified Badge to reduce property scams and continuing the integration of PropertyGuru and iProperty Malaysia.
