LabelBlind Secures $500K Seed Funding to Digitize Food Labelling Compliance

LabelBlind, India’s first AI-driven digital food labelling SaaS platform, has raised $500,000 in seed funding.

The company will use the capital to accelerate development of its FoLSol platform and enhance it to meet global regulatory requirements.

Dr. Rashida Vapiwala, Founder CEO, LabelBlind, said, “At LabelBlind, we believe that food labelling compliance shouldn’t be a regulatory burden. Our technology enables companies to reduce manual processes, eliminate human oversight risks and accelerate time-to-market, all while ensuring 100% regulatory compliance. This seed funding is more than a mere financial investment; it is a validation of our vision to make India the most trusted and transparent food-exporting nation in the world.”

Founded in 2023 by Partho Chakravarty and Rashida Vapiwala, LabelBlind is a platform that helps food businesses create and manage labels that meet Indian and international rules. It makes the entire food-labelling process digital and easier to handle.

The platform solves six big challenges: keeping up with constant regulatory updates, creating and checking labels for different countries, conducting compliance audits, understanding complicated rules, comparing regulations across borders, and identifying any risks for consumers or brands.

Its main product, FoLSol, is an all-in-one tool that simplifies everything — from making labels to verifying them — for packaged foods, fresh foods, online sellers, and companies exporting products.

The company provides a global ingredient database, AI/ML-powered tools, and systems that integrate smoothly with SAP and other ERPs.

LabelBlind is also building advanced AI that can read, interpret, and verify food labels within minutes — reducing validation time from 8–10 hours to just 30 minutes.

Soon, FoLSol will be able to generate fully compliant food labels for markets such as the USA, Canada, the EU, the UK, Australia–New Zealand, GCC countries, Southeast Asia, and more. These labels will follow country-specific rules, support multiple languages, and come in print-ready formats — all from a single platform.

LabelBlind already supports compliance for leading Indian food brands, including Bikanervala (Bikano), Hindustan Unilever, Everest Masale, Goldiee Group, ITC Hotels, Tata Starbucks, Swiggy, and Tim Hortons.

The company is also in advanced discussions with major Indian food manufacturers to digitize their entire labelling workflows and develop AI-powered compliance solutions.
