TIDA Sports, a multi-sports training and coaching platform, has secured INR 3 crore in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures.
The startup plans to use the funding to expand its presence across five states and 30 cities, partnering with 200 schools to provide quality sports training to over 100,000 students. The investment will also support technology upgrades, growth of its B2B operations, hiring additional coaches, and boosting on-ground marketing efforts.
“The sports ecosystem in India remains fragmented, with limited access to quality coaching, infrastructure, and even basic equipment. As a result, many talented students drop out early, especially with academics being prioritised at home. But sports isn’t just about creating future champions who can fuel India’s ambition of becoming a marquee sporting nation, it’s equally about raising healthier kids and reducing their screen time,” said Ankur Mittal, Co-founder of IPV.
“It builds discipline, confidence and overall well-being. TIDA Sports is helping bridge this gap by making quality training, venues and tournaments accessible at the grassroots level, ensuring that sports work for students rather than against their potential,” Mittal added.
TIDA Sports was co-founded in 2023 by Adit Goel, Sumeet Malik, Priyansh Matta, and Sanchit Budhiraja. The platform collaborates with schools and local sports academies to make sports facilities, professional coaching, and engaging tournaments accessible to students.
The startup has partnered with well-known schools such as GD Goenka, DPS, DAV, and Aravali, helping them run and enhance their sports programs for students.
TIDA Sports currently operates in Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Haryana, with training centres in Rishikesh, Haridwar, Dehradun, the Chandigarh tricity area, Patiala, Jalandhar, Ambala, Amritsar, Ludhiana, and Ferozepur.
