Paydibs, a Malaysia-based payments company, has partnered with AltPayNet a payment service provider from the Philippines, to enable cross-border payment services between the two countries.
The partnership aims to improve financial inclusion and make payments easier for overseas communities and regional businesses. AltPayNet will use Paydibs licensed payment infrastructure in Malaysia to offer secure and compliant payment services.
By connecting AltPayNet’s network to Paydibs’ local payment systems the partnership creates a simple integrated payment framework. This supports wider access to financial services and aligns with ASEAN’s goal of building interoperable retail payment systems across the region.
“This partnership reflects Paydibs commitment to advancing financial connectivity through inclusive and interoperable payment solutions,
“By supporting services such as Social Security System (SSS) contributions on our platform, we are helping overseas communities remain financially connected and secure using trusted and compliant local payment infrastructure,” said Tee Kean Kang, Chief Executive Officer of Paydibs.
“By partnering with Paydibs, we can offer secure, interoperable and compliant payment services that help overseas Filipinos meet essential obligations, such as SSS contributions, while also opening new opportunities for merchants across borders,” said Don Vacal, Chief Executive Officer of AltPayNet.
In addition, Paydibs has been named the official payment processor for AltPayNet’s merchants in Malaysia.
All transactions will go through locally approved payment systems, ensuring they are secure, compliant, and efficient.
Over time, the partnership plans to expand beyond SSS contributions to support a wider range of merchant payments, making it easier for both businesses and consumers to access services.
Commenting on the partnership, Vacal said it will strengthen AltPayNet’s presence in Malaysia and build further on its existing operations in the country.
