Coins.ph Partners with Circle Payments Network for Faster Peso Payments in the Philippines

Coins.ph, the Philippines’ top crypto-based financial services platform, has joined the Circle Payments Network (CPN) to make sending money to the Philippines faster and cheaper. This benefits institutions, businesses, platforms and regular users.

As part of CPN, Coins.ph can now send payments directly to over 120 local banks and e-wallets in the Philippines. Payments are quickly converted into Philippine Pesos (PHP) using secure, blockchain-based systems making the whole process smoother and compliant with regulations.

This partnership is designed to make sending money to the Philippines simpler and faster. Banks and financial institutions in the Circle Payments Network (CPN) can now settle payments almost instantly and send money directly in Philippine Pesos through Coins.ph.

For regular users, like Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families, as well as businesses, this means lower fees, better currency exchange rates, and almost immediate access to funds. Users also get real-time updates on their payment status making the process clear and transparent.

“Joining Circle Payments Network makes the Philippine Peso a native part of the internet economy,” said Wei Zhou, CEO of Coins.ph. “Through this integration, we’re helping to modernize how value moves into the Philippines by reducing the costs and delays often associated with legacy cross-border infrastructure, while improving the speed and predictability of local payouts.”

“Coins.ph’s integration with CPN strengthens local payout capabilities in the Philippines,” said Irfan Ganchi, SVP of Product Management, Payments at Circle. “By enabling PHP payouts through CPN, Coins.ph helps institutions deliver real-time, compliant settlement in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic markets, supporting our shared vision for a more inclusive and interoperable financial system.”

Coins.ph is a financial app used by millions of people in the Philippines. It combines traditional banking services with digital assets making it easy for users to manage money in one place. Founded in 2014, it is the country’s leading cryptocurrency exchange.

Licensed by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as both a virtual asset marketplace and a mobile wallet, Coins.ph allows users to trade cryptocurrencies, make payments, and send or receive money using crypto. The platform enables these transactions to be fast, affordable, and secure for everyone.

Circle Technology Services, LLC (CTS) runs the Circle Payments Network (CPN) and provides tools and services to help financial institutions connect to and use the network. CPN links banks and other financial institutions around the world, and CTS makes sure they can communicate and settle payments securely with each other.

CTS does not hold money or manage customer accounts. It simply enables participating institutions to connect and complete transactions directly with one another. All transactions are handled at the institutions’ own risk, and using CPN is governed by the CPN Rules and the Participation Agreement between CTS and each institution.
