De Beers Group Celebrates Natural Diamonds, Culture, and Timeless Values

De Beers Group hosted a special event at Carlyle & Co on 21 April to celebrate the beauty of natural diamonds, along with culture and lasting values.

Media members, influencers, and lifestyle experts gathered in the Reading Room for small, meaningful conversations and to enjoy books. Some guests also joined a calm meditation session.

Special guests included supermodels Kathy Chow and Janet Ma, actor Michael Wong (who was part of the original “A Diamond Is Forever” campaign), Stewart Young from Sotheby’s jewellery department, Loletta Lai from De Beers Group, Christina Ko (founder of Good Peoples), and Sophia Yu from SCMP Hearst.

De Beers Group’s Natural Diamonds APAC VP, Loletta Lai said: “Through compelling narratives, innovative product launches, high-impact partnerships, and cultural resonance, we reignite desire for natural diamonds fueled by our iconic tagline “A Diamond is Forever.”

“The legacy of natural diamonds being worn by royalties can be traced back from thousands of years ago. Exceptional diamonds are sought after by discerning collectors due to their rarity, intrinsic qualities and long-lasting values.” Stewart Young, Senior director and Head of the Jewellery Department at Sotheby’s indicated.

To add a thoughtful and calming touch to the event, Christina Ko, founder of Good Peoples, led a special “inner radiance” diamond meditation session.

With soft, modern music in the background, participants followed simple breathing exercises and focused on the symbolic qualities of natural diamonds—like brilliance, strength, and resilience—to feel more confident and connected.
