Cybersecurity startup Copperhelm, which builds an AI-powered cloud security platform, has raised US$7 million in a seed funding round. The round was led by TLV Partners, with support from ICON, toDay Ventures, and SaaS Ventures Israel.

Copperhelm is building a cloud security system powered by AI agents. These AI agents understand the cloud environment almost like an engineer would.

The system keeps a constant watch on cloud systems, finds cyber threats, and can fix issues automatically using real-time analysis.

Even though artificial intelligence has improved quickly, cloud security has not fully adopted automation yet. Most security work is still done manually because modern cloud systems are very complex and spread across many different parts.

Because of this complexity, AI systems often cannot understand the full situation needed to make correct decisions. So, companies cannot just use a general AI model across many cloud accounts and expect it to always give accurate results.

“Engineering teams got AI years ago; security was left behind doing manual work,” said Shimon Tolts, CEO and Co-Founder of Copperhelm. “Copperhelm finally brings true AI to cloud security. It’s like instantly adding twenty senior engineers to your team. Our agents investigate, validate, and remediate threats, eliminating the backlog almost immediately.”

Founded in 2025 by Shimon Tolts, Eyar Zilberman, and Roman Labunsky, the team has experience in cloud and cybersecurity from companies such as Unity, McAfee, and RSA. They have also built large-scale security and infrastructure systems.

Two of the founders have special recognition in the tech community—Tolts is an AWS Hero, and Zilberman is a GitHub Star. The company is based in Tel Aviv.

After this funding round, Shay Michel from Merlin Ventures will join Copperhelm’s board of directors. Merlin Ventures
