Banza, an AI-based data-sharing platform, has raised US$1 million in a pre-seed funding round. The round was led by Campus Fund, with participation from Avalanche and some angel investors.
The company will use this money to improve its product, make the user experience better, and hire more people for its team.
Banza also plans to use the funding to strengthen its platform and build more products focused on personal AI.
“Most recommendations today are shaped by what works for the platform, not what truly works for the person,” said Aditya Vijaykumar, CTO at Banza.
“Each service sees only a fragment of who you are, which makes the experience biased, siloed, and incomplete. We believe people should be able to build and own an AI Twin that understands them more deeply over time and works in their favor across everyday decisions,” he added.
Founded this year by Mehdi A and Aditya Vijayakumar, Banza, based in Bengaluru, wants to help users create their own personal AI Twin. This AI learns from a person’s online activity and becomes smarter over time.
The platform is building an AI system that understands a user’s likes, habits, and daily needs.
This AI can help with simple daily decisions like what to eat, what to watch, where to go, what to buy, and how to plan activities.
Banza says most digital apps collect only small pieces of user data, which leads to limited experiences. Its goal is to bring all this data together into one AI that understands the user better and gives more personalized support.
