Robotera raises $200 million in funding round led by SF Group

Robotera has raised more than US$200 million in a new funding round led by SF Group. The company is growing its presence in logistics and industrial automation using humanoid robots.

Robotera said this new funding comes after it previously raised another $143 million in a strategic funding round completed in March. The company continues to attract strong investor interest as demand for robotics and automation increases.

Several major investors joined the latest round, including HSG, IDG Capital, Hillhouse Investment, and CICC Capital. Industrial partners, including funds linked to China Unicom and automotive investors also participated in the investment.

“With proven deployment in logistics and ongoing expansion into automotive, electronics, and service industries, Robotera is entering a phase of rapid commercialization,” the company noted in the announcement. “The company will continue scaling real-world robotic applications across global markets.”

Robotera, based in Beijing, develops humanoid robots and robotic systems for use in logistics, factories, and service industries. The company said its robots are already being used in more than 10 logistics centers through partnerships with China Post and SF Group.

Robotera said it started delivering robots in the thousands during the second quarter of 2026 and achieved more than 300% growth during that time. The company is now expanding beyond logistics and entering industries such as automotive, electronics, and service businesses as China’s humanoid robotics and AI market continues to grow.

The company has focused strongly on building most of its robot technology in-house. According to Robotera, it develops more than 95% of its key components internally including movement systems, humanoid robot platforms, and robotic hands designed for complex tasks.

One of Robotera’s main focus areas is robotic hand technology. The company said it created a special direct-drive robotic hand system to improve precision, flexibility, and durability when handling real-world logistics and industrial work.

According to Robotera, its robotics hardware systems are also being used by major companies such as Nvidia, Apple, and Boston Dynamics for robotics research and development projects.
