Tencent Cloud Partners with Ryt Bank to Launch AI-Powered Banking in Malaysia

Tencent Cloud, the cloud business of Tencent, has partnered with Ryt Bank, Malaysia’s first AI-powered bank. The partnership will help offer a conversational banking experience for daily payments and banking services.

Using Tencent Cloud Chat (IM) technology, Ryt Bank will provide users in Malaysia with secure and smooth real-time communication for AI-powered banking commands and transaction information.

Ryt Bank was created to make digital banking faster, simpler, and easier to use. The bank wants to remove unnecessary steps in banking by using a “Zero-UI” model, where users can complete tasks with just one simple command.

For example, instead of going through many menus and steps, a user can simply say, “Send RM100 to Amelia,” and the system will complete the transaction automatically. To make this possible, Ryt Bank partnered with Tencent Cloud.

Ryt Bank’s conversational banking platform uses Tencent Cloud Chat (IM), the same messaging technology used across Tencent’s global ecosystem. The system supports more than 1 billion monthly active users and handles over 550 billion messages every day during peak usage.

Kenneth Siow, Regional Director for Southeast Asia and General Manager for Singapore & Malaysia at Tencent Cloud International said, “Southeast Asia is a key hub for digital innovation, and we are proud to support ambitious pioneers like Ryt Bank in creating a future-forward banking experience. This collaboration highlights our commitment to empower local businesses in Malaysia and across the region to build the next generation of services by providing the robust and high-speed infrastructure they need to create enhanced customer experiences.”

Wilson Soon, interim CEO of Ryt Bank said, “Our mission is to empower Malaysians to drive intelligent, AI-powered banking, delivering smarter, faster finance and real impact for all. Tencent Cloud has been a strategic partner in achieving this goal. The Tencent Cloud Chat (IM) feature was straightforward to integrate, providing the stable, low-latency communication required to handle high-concurrency transactions smoothly, which is fundamental to our growth and our ability to strengthen customer trust.”

Tencent Cloud aims to help businesses around the world with advanced and high-performance cloud solutions. The company is rapidly expanding internationally and now operates in more than 80 countries and regions.

Tencent Cloud plans to bring its core technologies to more global markets, helping companies across different industries adopt smarter digital solutions and achieve long-term business growth.
