Rahul Khona has returned to Starbucks India as Chief Technology Officer after leading technology operations for Tim Hortons in Southeast Asia for the past three years. In a LinkedIn post, he described his return as a “full circle” moment.
Khona said he is happy to rejoin Starbucks at a time when India’s retail and food and beverage sector is growing rapidly.
At Starbucks India, he will lead the company’s technology and digital strategy. His focus will be on business transformation, using AI, and improving customer experience across both online and offline channels.
He also plans to introduce AI-powered automation and smoother digital services to make Starbucks’ “Third Place” experience better for customers in India.

He has also worked on making supply chain technology more efficient and improving overall business operations.
