Abwaab Acquires Egypt’s Eduact to Expand Education Technology Platform

Eduact was founded in Egypt in 2020 by Adham Hamed and Ali Hisham. It provides software tools that help independent teachers and small learning centres manage their work.

Its platform allows educators to manage video lessons, student grades, and payments. It also connects online and offline learning activities in one place.

With the acquisition, Abwaab will add Eduact’s technology and network of Egyptian educators to its platform. The company plans to make Eduact’s services available to more teachers and learning centres.

Abwaab will use its technology, educational content, and regional network to expand Eduact’s offering across Egypt and potentially other markets.

Founded in Jordan in 2019 by Hamdi Tabbaa, Sabri Hakim, and Hussein AlSarabi, Abwaab provides online learning, assessments, and other education services. The company currently operates in six MENA markets.

“We’ve always believed that transforming education in the Arab world isn’t about one company doing everything; it’s about finding the best teams solving real problems on the ground and building with them,” said Hamdi Tabbaa, co-founder and CEO of Abwaab. He added that Eduact had spent years building relationships with teachers and learning centres across Egypt.

This is Abwaab’s second acquisition in 2026. Earlier this year, the company acquired Egypt-based Apex Education.

Apex Education helps students with international university admissions. The deal allowed Abwaab to expand its services into higher education preparation and admissions guidance.
