The company’s inaugural $50 million Series C round was oversubscribed, attracting new investors such as Japanese corporation Marubeni Corporation and renowned private equity firm Lightsmith Group. With this, the company has now raised $91.5 million in total capital.

In the Series C round, new utility investor Duke Energy joins established North American utility investors National Grid and Edison International, as well as new strategic investors Sabanci Ventures in EMEA and Marubeni Corporation in the Asia-Pacific region. The other investors from prior rounds who participated were SE Ventures, G2 Venture Partners, Benhamou Global Ventures, and Shell Ventures.
