AIR Security Raises $50 Million to Protect AI Agents from Cyber Threats

AIR Security is building a security platform that helps companies protect the AI agent supply chain and keep AI-powered systems safe from security threats.

Swish Ventures and Netz also joined the funding round. Several private investors took part as well.

The investors include Zach Frankel, President of Cognition; Yinon Costica, Co-founder of Wiz; and Ofir Ehrlich, Co-founder of Eon.

Anne Neuberger, Omer Adam, and Varun Anand, Co-founder of Clay, also invested. Other senior professionals from the cybersecurity and AI industries joined the round too.

AIR Security has officially launched after operating quietly in stealth mode. The company was founded in February 2026 by Yair Saban and Niv Hoffman, who first met around 10 years ago while serving in the military.

Both founders have experience in cybersecurity, enterprise infrastructure, and AI security research. Their background includes working on offensive cybersecurity and protecting AI systems from security risks.

“Every enterprise has a firewall protecting its network. Now they need one protecting their AI agents,” Saban, AIR’s co-founder and CEO, told Media. “AI agents need a new kind of firewall, one that protects what enters their context.”

“We believe that AI agents are a hedged risk,” he said. “Organizations are gaining trust in agents and companies are counting on them to deliver products. There is more and more trust, and they are granting increased permissions.”

“This is not a scanning problem, it is a continuous re-verification problem,” Bogomil Balkansky, partner at Sequoia, told Media in an emailed statement. “Inspecting every skill, plugin, MCP server and sub-agent an enterprise’s agents touch, re-inspecting each one every time it changes, in real time and across an entire company’s agent fleet, is an infrastructure problem long before it is a security problem. Air has spent the last year building that pipeline. You do not catch up to it by writing a better scanner.”

AIR Security is entering a market that is changing very quickly. The AI security industry is becoming more competitive as new companies continue to enter the space.

At the same time, AI technology is developing rapidly. This means companies working on AI security will need to keep improving their products as the technology changes.
