Arsen Liametov scaling digital finance across emerging markets

Arsen Liametov is recognized as one of the fintech executives driving the expansion of digital-first financial services across emerging markets. As co-founder of Skyro, Arsen Liametov focuses on building scalable consumer finance infrastructure designed to improve financial inclusion and broaden access to modern digital financial tools.

A fintech builder focused on scale and accessibility

With more than 15 years of leadership experience, Arsen Liametov has worked at the intersection of product development, analytics, risk management, and fintech growth strategy. His approach combines technological innovation with operational scalability, allowing digital finance platforms to expand rapidly while maintaining sustainable business models.

At Skyro, Arsen Liametov played a key role in transforming the company from an early-stage fintech startup into a large-scale consumer finance platform serving more than one million users across Southeast Asia within just a few years.

Building finance for underserved markets

A major part of Arsen Liametov’s professional focus is expanding financial access in markets where traditional banking infrastructure remains limited. Through Skyro, he has supported the development of mobile-first lending solutions designed for real-world financial behavior rather than traditional banking assumptions.

The company’s ecosystem combines AI-driven analytics, alternative credit scoring, and digital customer interaction to simplify access to financing. This approach allows Skyro to reach users who may have limited access to conventional banking products while maintaining operational efficiency and scalable growth.

The Philippines as a fintech growth case

The Philippines became one of the central growth markets in Skyro’s international strategy. Under the leadership of Arsen Liametov and the broader management team, the company rapidly expanded its customer base, retail partnerships, and consumer lending operations across the country.

This market became an important demonstration of how digital consumer finance platforms can scale efficiently in emerging economies through technology, mobile accessibility, and localized financial products.

From digital lending to fintech infrastructure

Before co-founding Skyro, Arsen Liametov held senior leadership positions at major fintech and banking organizations, including Renaissance Credit and LSE‑listed Tinkoff. During this period, he worked on the development of digital lending products, payment systems, and risk management infrastructure.

His experience included building large-scale consumer finance systems that required a balance between technological flexibility, rapid decision-making, and strict portfolio risk control. These competencies later became part of Skyro’s operational foundation.

One of the defining milestones of his earlier career was participation in launching one of the first Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) services in the market. This project contributed to the wider adoption of installment-based digital finance products and helped establish BNPL as a mainstream category in consumer fintech.

International expansion and fintech strategy

Today, Arsen Liametov leads many aspects of Skyro’s international growth strategy. His work includes market expansion, operational scaling, regulatory adaptation, and the development of new digital financial ecosystems for emerging regions.

A key element of this strategy is building platforms capable of local adaptation while maintaining global operational standards. This balance between localization and scalability has become one of the defining characteristics of Skyro’s expansion model.

Education and long-term perspective

Arsen Liametov holds a degree in economics from the Higher School of Economics and completed Executive Education studies at INSEAD. His academic background complements his operational fintech experience and supports his focus on strategic growth, capital management, and long-term business development.
