Bambrew Raises INR 90 Cr funding to Grow Eco-Friendly Packaging Worldwide

Bambrew, a company that creates eco-friendly packaging using advanced materials, has raised INR 90 crore (around $10.3 million) in a funding round. The round was led by Ashok Goel, former MD of Essel Propack, along with Japanese VC firm ENRISSION INDIA CAPITAL.

The startup will use the funds to increase its manufacturing capacity, speed up new material development, and expand into international markets, especially in the Middle East and North America.

“This investment is a proud milestone in our five-year journey,” said Vaibhav Anant, Founder and CEO of Bambrew. “The packaging industry is at a crossroads. With this capital, we’re investing in the science, infrastructure and scale required to replace plastic meaningfully, not just in India, but globally.”

Investor Ashok Goel said, “What stands out about Bambrew is its material-first approach, combining functionality with sustainability. With the right support, they can become a benchmark for scalable, eco-friendly innovation.”

Yusuke Kakimoto, Founder and CEO of ENRISSION INDIA CAPITAL, said, “Bambrew’s deep commitment to material science and sustainability aligns perfectly with our mission. Their innovations are already reshaping industries.”

Bambrew was founded in 2019 by Vaibhav Anant. The company makes eco-friendly and high-performance alternatives to single-use plastic. It uses natural materials like bamboo fibre, farm waste, seaweed, recycled paper, and other sustainable resources.

Bambrew’s special materials are strong, can be composted at home, and are easy to produce in large quantities. They are designed to meet the needs of modern businesses while being safe for the environment.

Over the past year, Bambrew has grown from making garment and mailer bags to offering new eco-friendly solutions like sustainable mango box packaging.

Its customer base now includes major companies in FMCG, e-commerce, personal care, and food and beverages. With products like plastic-free laminates and aluminium-free recyclable films, Bambrew is helping over 500 brands move away from traditional plastic and foil packaging.

The company is also preparing to launch a direct-to-consumer (D2C) line, bringing its sustainable packaging innovations directly to eco-conscious shoppers. The new range of everyday packaging essentials is expected to hit the market soon.

Bambrew aims to reach a revenue milestone of INR 120 crore and is targeting profitability within the next 12 months.
