Blue Fire AI Raises US$9 Mn to Expand AI-Powered Asset Management Products

Singapore-based investment technology company Blue Fire AI has closed its latest funding round with US$9 million in total commitments following a strategic agreement with Japan’s Asset Management One (AM-One) and Mizuho Financial Group.

As part of the agreement AM One will acquire a minority stake in Blue Fire AI. The partnership will focus on developing and distributing AI-driven asset management products for institutional and retail investors in Japan.

Blue Fire AI’s Partnership with AM-One

Under the commercial agreement, AM-One plans to use Blue Fire AI’s neuro-symbolic AI decision engine to support portfolio managers in conducting bottom-up fundamental analysis.

The technology is designed to help investment professionals analyse individual companies, identify valuation opportunities and generate investment insights at scale.

The companies did not disclose the size of AM-One’s minority stake or Blue Fire AI’s valuation.

AM-One President and CEO Noriyuki Sugihara said the firm plans to use Blue Fire AI’s capabilities to enhance its investment solutions and make them available through AM-One’s product platform.

Blue Fire AI CEO Luke Waddington said the partnership reflects a shared focus on combining institutional investment expertise with technology designed for active management.

How Blue Fire AI’s Technology Works

Blue Fire AI describes its technology as a neuro-symbolic AI decision engine. Neuro symbolic AI combines machine-learning-based pattern recognition with structured reasoning approaches.

For asset managers, the technology is intended to support bottom-up fundamental analysis, which involves evaluating individual companies based on factors such as financial performance, competitive position, valuation and future prospects.

Blue Fire AI says it has spent 10 years developing its technology and has a seven-year live investment track record. These figures are company-reported.

Blue Fire AI’s Japan Expansion

The partnership gives Blue Fire AI an entry point into Japan’s asset management market through AM-One, an established Japanese asset manager.

AM-One had approximately JPY80 trillion in assets under management as of December 31, 2025, according to the supplied source. The firm serves both institutional and retail markets.

Through the collaboration, AM-One plans to develop and distribute new investment products powered by Blue Fire AI's technology in Japan.
