Bolttech Names New CEOs for APAC and North America

Global InsurTech company bolttech has announced new leadership appointments across its Asia-Pacific (APAC) and North American operations as it looks to support business growth in both regions.

Emma Butler has been appointed CEO, APAC, replacing Philip Weiner. Butler will also join bolttech’s Group Executive Committee with immediate effect. Weiner will move to the role of CEO, North America.

In North America, Weiner succeeds Jon Walheim, who is stepping down as CEO. Walheim will continue working with bolttech as an advisor to the Group CEO during the transition.

Butler has more than 20 years of experience across insurance banking and retail in Asia and Europe. Before her new role she served as Regional General Manager for Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam where she focused on business growth, partnerships and team development.

Before joining bolttech Butler worked at AmTrust Mobile Solutions Asia, which was later acquired and integrated into bolttech.

Weiner has been part of bolttech’s executive team since the company’s early days. He has previously served as Group Chief Data Officer and Chief Commercial Officer for Asia and Europe, before becoming CEO, APAC. An actuary by training he has more than 20 years of experience in insurance, data, technology and AI.

The leadership changes are aimed at strengthening bolttech’s regional teams and supporting its expansion across key insurance markets.

The appointments are aimed at ensuring a smooth transition in bolttech’s regional operations while supporting growth in key markets.
