The Michael and Susan Dell Foundation and early-stage venture capital firm Kalaari Capital led a $5.9 million investment round for edtech company ByteXL.

The money will be used to grow the team, develop new products, launch new digital tools, and reach more colleges and universities nationwide.

The Hyderabad-based company coordinates curriculum, material, and practical learning for engineering students with universities and industry. Karun and Sricharan Tadepalli founded it in 2020. The organisation teaches programming, cybersecurity, full stack development, cloud technologies, and more.

“This funding will boost our confidence in empowering engineers of tomorrow with cutting-edge skills and technologies and help us bridge the gap between academia and industry at a faster pace,” said chief executive Tadepalli.

Thus far, ByteXL has established partnerships with more than 26 Indian colleges and institutes.

Over 100,000 pupils are said to have received training from the company. Recently, ByteXL and Microsoft collaborated to launch a brand-new BTech CSE course in machine learning and artificial intelligence (ML and AI).
