Cent Raises $15 Mn to Expand Preventive Healthcare Technology

Cent, an India-based preventive healthcare startup, has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Blume Ventures and South Park Commons. The company will use the funding to strengthen its medical hardware, artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and clinical research.

The funding announcement, made on October 27, 2026, also comes alongside Cent’s acquisition of Medsee, an AI-powered radiology platform. The acquisition is expected to support the company’s technology development and improve its AI-driven screening services.

Funding Details

Cent raised $15 million in the Series A round, co-led by Blume Ventures and South Park Commons. Individual investors Arun Sarin, Srinivas Narayanan, Sharath Narayana, Aprameya Radhakrishna and Krishan Sridhar also participated in the round.

How Will Cent Use the Funding?

Cent plans to invest the fresh capital in medical hardware, AI technology and clinical research. These investments will support the development of its preventive healthcare services and screening capabilities.

The acquisition of Medsee is another step in strengthening the company’s technology. By adding an AI-powered radiology platform, Cent aims to expand its capabilities in medical imaging and early disease detection.

What Does Cent Do?

Cent is a preventive healthcare startup founded by Shashank ND, who previously co-founded Practo, a healthcare technology company.

The startup focuses on identifying potential health risks before they develop into more serious conditions. Its screening protocol combines medical imaging, diagnostic tests and biomarkers to provide a broad assessment of a person’s health.

The screening process includes full-body magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), low-dose computed tomography (CT) scans, dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA), electrocardiograms (ECG), echocardiograms (ECHO) and more than 100 biomarkers. According to the company, these tests can be completed in a single session lasting around two hours.

Cent’s Operations and Growth

Cent operates screening centres in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi-NCR, alongside a network of partner diagnostic laboratories.

The company reported that around 10,000 people underwent screening through its protocol over the past year. According to the figures shared by Cent, one in four people screened had findings requiring medical attention, while one in 40 needed an immediate consultation with a doctor.

These figures reflect the company’s reported screening outcomes and do not independently establish the effectiveness of its screening protocol.

What’s Next for Cent?

Cent aims to conduct 10 million scans by 2035 and help save one million lives through early disease detection. The company plans to develop its screening technology and expand its preventive healthcare services as it works towards these targets.

The latest funding round and Medsee acquisition will support Cent’s efforts to strengthen its medical imaging, AI and clinical research capabilities.
