Cube raises $3.7 million in Series A round led by Betatron Venture Group

Cube, a startup that tracks online shopping markets for brands, internet platforms, and investors, has raised US$3.7 million in a Series A funding round.

The round was led by Betatron Venture Group, with additional support from M Venture Partners and some strategic angel investors.

The funding comes at a time when it’s becoming harder to understand how online shopping markets really work. In offline stores like supermarkets and pharmacies, brands can easily get clear data to track sales and trends. But in online markets, this kind of data is not as clear or organized.

Online product listings keep changing, sellers often bundle products in different ways, prices can change very quickly and marketplaces don’t always show clean or consistent information. Because of this, it’s more difficult for brands to track what’s happening and make decisions.

As Cube co-founder Simon Torring put it, “enterprises would need more reliable and accurate market data and insights to win online, and this has proven even more true in the age of AI”.

Matthias Knobloch, Managing Partner and CEO of Betatron Venture Group, bluntly framed the gap, arguing that brands have solid tools for brick-and-mortar performance but still lack the same visibility in digital channels, where data is “messy, fragmented, and constantly in flux”.

Cube co-founder Sarabjit Singh said recent advances in AI have helped the company push reporting into deeper levels of detail, including the ability to separate bundled products and examine what sits inside them. That may sound technical, but it points to a practical reality: better parsing of online listings can lead to better business decisions.

Founded in 2022, the startup provides market data and insights to over 20 big companies, including global consumer brands, online platforms, and investment firms.

Its main goal is simple: it takes messy and scattered e-commerce data, organizes it, improves it, and turns it into clear information that companies can use to make better decisions.
