Pixxel Raises $100 Million to Expand Its Space-Tech Business

The round also saw participation from new investors 360 ONE Asset and IMM Investment, along with existing investors including Radical Ventures and growX ventures.

The latest funding takes Pixxel’s total capital raised to $195 million. It is also the largest funding round raised by an Indian space-tech company so far.

Pixxel started by building hyperspectral satellites that capture detailed information about the Earth. The company has since expanded its business to include Aurora, its Earth intelligence software, as well as satellite systems for commercial and government space missions.

With these products, Pixxel is building a broader space infrastructure business that connects satellites, software and data. Its technology is aimed at helping governments, companies and other organisations use satellite data for decision-making.

The new funding will support Pixxel as it expands its products and grows its presence across the space-tech industry.
