Digital health platform ekincare has acquired Superclaims, an AI-powered software platform that helps automate health insurance claims processing.
As part of the acquisition, Superclaims co-founder and CEO Bhavish Ramaswamy, co-founder and CTO Maneesh Daithala, and the rest of the leadership team will remain in their current roles and report to ekincare's senior leadership.
Superclaims will continue to operate as an independent brand while using ekincare's platform and distribution network to expand its reach and grow its business.
The acquisition will help ekincare grow its presence among insurance companies and third-party administrators (TPAs). It will also strengthen the company's relationships with its existing business customers.

The deal will create new opportunities to offer more products and services to customers. It will also support ekincare's plan to expand its AI-powered insurance technology platform into international markets.
Kiran Kalakuntla, Co-founder & CEO, ekincare, said; “Healthcare has traditionally evolved in silos. Employers manage benefits; providers deliver care, while insurers and TPAs process claim independently. We believe the future of healthcare lies in connecting these ecosystems through intelligence. Superclaims brings the missing insurance layer onto our platform, enabling us to build digital healthcare infrastructure that serves every stakeholder, from employers and employees to providers, insurers and TPAs. This moves us beyond healthcare benefits towards creating a truly connected healthcare ecosystem.”
Bhavish Ramaswamy, Founder & CEO, Superclaims, said: “At Superclaims, we’ve always believed that claims should be a source of confidence, not complexity. By using AI to automate one of healthcare’s most manual processes, we’ve helped insurers and TPAs make faster and more accurate decisions. Joining ekincare enables us to take that impact further by connecting claims with the broader healthcare ecosystem, creating a more seamless experience for every stakeholder involved.”
Founded in 2014 by Kiran Kalakuntla and Srikanth Samudrala, ekincare is a health benefits platform based in Hyderabad. It helps employers provide personalised healthcare plans for employees and their families.
In March 2022, the company raised $15 million in a Series B funding round led by HealthQuad and Sabre Partners, with support from Ventureast, Eight Roads Ventures, Siana Capital, and Endiya Partners.
Today, ekincare serves more than 2 million employees across 1,000+ organisations, including global companies such as PepsiCo, BlackRock, and Visa. It also has a network of over 90,000 healthcare providers in more than 500 cities.
