India-Based ElectricPe has Partnered with Google to bring EV Charging Station to Google Maps in India

Google, the search engine behemoth, has teamed up with ElectricPe, an Indian startup, to improve EV charging. Through this partnership, Google Maps users in India will be able to check charging point status and availability in real-time, improving trip planning and lowering range anxiety.

Google Maps and Google Search will both support this feature, which will eventually be extended to further areas.

Blume Ventures and other investors have contributed $8.29 million to the EV charging aggregation platform ElectricPe thus far.

ElectricPe, which was co-founded in May 2021 by Avinash Sharma and Raghav Rohila, allows customers to connect to charging stations all throughout India. Users can charge their cars and finish the payment by scanning the QR code with the app. The business and Hero Electric collaborated to install charging stations in residential buildings, business complexes, and other locations throughout India.

According to the Bengaluru-based company, it has the largest network of public chargers in the city, running over 25,000 of them.

By 2030, industry research indicates that there will be more than 5 million public charging stations in India.
