EngineAI Secures Nearly RMB 1 Billion to Boost Humanoid Robot Development

EngineAI, a robotics company based in Shenzhen, China, has raised nearly 1 billion RMB in its Pre-A++ and A1 funding rounds to develop advanced, flexible robots.

The Pre-A++ funding round was led by Rockets Capital, which XPeng, a Chinese electric vehicle company, backs.

The A1 round was led by JD.com, with support from other major investors like CATL Capital, Yintai Group, TH Capital, Guochen Venture Capital, and Huangpu River Capital.

EngineAI has developed a wide range of robots, including bipedal and full humanoid robots, designed for different performance levels.

The company is now increasing trial production and deliveries, and plans to grow its production team by 5 times to keep up with rising demand.

EngineAI plans to invest more in embodied intelligence research and development to speed up the launch of its core technologies and strengthen its position in the global market.

EngineAI makes smart and flexible robots. Its special joint modules are among the best in the industry, giving the robots strong power, high speed, and smooth movement that looks very natural.

By solving the gap between simulation and real-world performance (called Sim2Real), EngineAI has built a strong technology lead. Its robots can perform complex moves like dancing, flipping forward, and sprinting with high accuracy.

EngineAI has formed partnerships with major companies like NVIDIA, Amazon, JD.com, Tencent, and ByteDance to develop new uses for humanoid robots in areas such as commercial services, dangerous tasks, and cultural tourism.

These collaborations are helping the company move faster toward large-scale commercial use of its robots.
