ESR Appoints Dalmar Sheikh as CEO of Data Centres to Drive Asia-Pacific Growth

ESR has appointed Dalmar Sheikh as the Chief Executive Officer of ESR Data Centres. He will officially take on the role on 1 September 2026.

Dalmar will oversee the continued expansion of ESR’s digital infrastructure platform. The company wants to meet the growing demand for data centres from hyperscale cloud companies and large businesses across Asia-Pacific.

ESR’s data centre business is an important part of its overall growth strategy. The company has a pipeline of more than 3.2 GW of data centre capacity across key markets in Asia-Pacific, including Japan, South Korea, and Australia.

Demand for digital infrastructure is increasing as businesses adopt cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and other digital technologies. ESR aims to use its data centre platform to support this growing demand across the Asia-Pacific region.

Dalmar will lead the execution of ESR’s data centre strategy. He will help develop new projects, grow the company’s data centre pipeline, and identify new business opportunities.

He will also work to strengthen relationships with customers, investors, and industry partners. His role will include finding new ways to grow and improve ESR’s data centre business.

Dalmar brings more than 20 years of experience in data centres, digital infrastructure, and technology. Before joining ESR, he was the Chief Operating Officer at CtrlS Datacenters.

Earlier in his career, Dalmar held senior positions at DataSphere Advisory, Actis, and Amazon Web Services. His experience includes developing, operating, and growing digital infrastructure businesses across Asia-Pacific and other international markets.
