LG Unveils First Bipedal Humanoid Robot as LG and Nvidia Deepen AI Partnership

The robot has a human-like upper body, similar to LG Electronics’ home robot CLOiD, which was introduced at CES 2026. However, unlike CLOiD, the new robot has two legs instead of wheels.

Koo revealed the robot during a meeting with Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, at Nvidia’s headquarters in Santa Clara, California. The two companies signed an MOU for strategic cooperation.

The partnership will focus on three key areas: humanoid robots, AI-powered factories, and mobility. During the meeting, LG also showcased a miniature version of its new bipedal humanoid robot.

Chairman Koo and CEO Huang exchange greetings right after signing the MOU letter. Huang extends his hand to Koo first and says, "Good to see you. Real, it's real," and Koo responds, "Real," as they shake hands.

After signing the MOU, Koo Kwang-mo and Jensen Huang wrote friendly messages on the outside of the box containing the bipedal humanoid robot miniature.

The two executives then lifted the miniature together and posed for photos, highlighting their close cooperation on future robotics and AI projects.

Meanwhile, Chairman Koo and CEO Huang reunited after two months. When Huang visited in June, he met with Koo and top executives at the LG Twin Towers in Yeouido, Seoul. After about an hour-long closed-door meeting at the time, Koo said, "We didn't have enough time to cover all the details," and noted, "We discussed meeting again next time in California."
