The California Mobility Center (CMC) and GenCell, an Israeli renewable energy business that creates hydrogen from liquid ammonia, have teamed together to showcase the former’s zero-emission EVOX bridge power solution for quick EV charging.
EVOX provides dependable, long-lasting, and climate-resilient power that is independent of the grid by combining hydrogen fuel cells, lithium-ion batteries, and proprietary AI-driven DERMS software.
The collaboration seeks to improve clean energy and transportation technology development in Sacramento and beyond, as well as the adoption and research of zero-emission car technology.

“The partnership with GenCell is another example of the CMC helping accelerate and promote clean energy and transportation technology and ensuring California can meet its clean air goals,” said Orville Thomas, CEO of the California Mobility Center. The CMC’s current facility, like a lot of workplaces and fleet depots in California, doesn’t have sufficient power for fast charging. This collaboration to showcase the GenCell EVOX will highlight power solutions that can be used to bridge between where technology is now and where we need it to be,” he said.
Throughout the remaining months of 2024, the solution will be on display at CMC’s Sacramento headquarters.
