Grexa AI, a B2B marketing startup that uses AI, has raised $1.8 million (₹15.5 crore) in a seed funding round.

The creators of the edtech platform Testbook founded the company. Utsav Somani and Shankar Narayanan led the funding round.

DeVC (Z47’s seed fund), Bharat Founders Fund, and angel investors like Revant Bhate, Vaibhav Domkundwar, Ramakant Sharma, and Sumit Gupta also took part in the funding round.

The startup will use the funds to develop its product and boost its market growth.

“We have created an AI agent on WhatsApp number and that is being offered at no cost to the businesses, and we have already more than 21,000 people engaged there,” Kumar said.

Grexa AI was started in 2024 by Ashutosh Kumar, Ayush Varshney, Arpit Oswal, and Narendra Agrawal. It provides a simple, AI-powered platform that helps small businesses in India with digital marketing.

The platform automates tasks like local SEO, social media posts, online ads, and website management. This makes it easy for small business owners to manage their online presence, even if they don’t have technical skills.

The company is based in Thane and says its AI engine runs marketing campaigns all the time, across the entire customer journey. So far, over 21,600 businesses—like salons, clinics, gyms, and cafés—are already using it.

Grexa AI’s goal is to help India’s 6 crore small businesses grow online without needing agencies, freelancers, or complex tools.
